Between 7 and 10 July 1998, the City of Vienna, Austria,
hosted the 1998 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to review the
470 submissions for the 1998 Dubai International Award for Best
Practices. The TAC identified 124 submissions as Best Practices
and prepared a short-list of 40 submissions for review by the Best
Practices Jury. The Jury then selected the 10 recipients of the
1998 Dubai International Award. The report is organized as follows:
